My partner Nicola is my regular tramping companion, and together we spend weekends in the Tararua Forest Park – albeit a little less frequently these-days as I spend more time hunting. Most trips include Charlie our wirehaired vizsla. Less often we manage longer trips further afield. I climb things occasionally with a wider group of good friends.
I’m a member of Wairarapa LandSAR and have a NZOIA Bush 1 qualification, which probably explains why I check the forecast twice and still carry a map and compass.
This is where we write things down and share photographs of our adventures – mostly in New Zealand. Photos are mine, and mostly shot on a Fuji X-T5 or X100VI.
